I talked to my youngest son yesterday and he told me he has now got an 04
Electraglide SE with a 120CI in it.
He never replied to my suggestion that he should loan it to me.

I have 3 levels of Motorcycle Gloves. My Roadmasters I use for cold weather are pretty heavy but those cold mornings can be chilly.

I notice you have yet to install a Windshield.
My first 2 bikes did not have them, but after the Wing I will not do without.

Maybe you should look at a quick release set up!

Hey Bob,

Have you tried being a bit more assertive with that loan? BTW what's your total family engine displacement? Let me estimate:

Dad: 50 CI
Youngest: 120 CI
Middle: ????
Oldest: 96 CI [If he didn't sell it]

total: 266 CI That's a lot of cubic inches.

As for the wind shield, I have mixed feelings about it but I think my wife will get one next year.

My oldest son is married with 1 son and sold his bike before he got married, his last ride was a ZX6R.

My youngest is the one who got rid of his 08 Streetglide a few weeks ago and now has the 04 SE. He also Drag Races in the Pro Modified class, low 6's for the I/4 mile. 4 Wheels and 2800 hp,

As for the loan of the Jim's 120 CI, I think I can get in enough trouble with 50 CI, he said the Jim's was pushing 140 HP.

As for the windshield, I think you should try.
I noticed you mentioned renting a Harley to Atlas, Deeley has a rental program.

Yes, I saw Atlas's photos on Hawaii, recently friends brought a brochure from Maui, HD rentals from $85/day. (Current prices are @ Harley-DavidsonĀ® Motorcycle Rentals, Honda Motorcycle Rentals, Motorcycle Tours, & Powersport Rentals - EagleRider Motorcycle Rentals)
I think one could kill two birds with one stone, checking out the Fat Boy while cruising along the coast line in Hawaii.

Default Motorcycle boots at Red Wings

Did you know this boots store called Red Wings? Currently they have sales on various boots including steel-toes and motorcycle boots. They offer free laces and stitches for the life of the boots also. We got a pair of 6-7 inch high boots for my wife (around 80 bucks off of tag price).

Red Wings is a chain more known for work boots.

They have a good rep. for quality and price.
In fact they were in a recent moto mag. boot comparison.

Elvis...My current riding boots are Redwings and I love 'em. I can't recall where you live, but there is a Redwing outlet in the Newton area...on 72nd ave around 135 st. Not sure if this is closer to your home or not...

These are the boots I went with Red Wing Shoes

Blackie, Atlas, thanks very much!

Atlas, do you have the address of that Red Wings outlet store? We weren't too impressed of the customer service at Kingsway location, but it's hard to find good motorcycle boots so we sort of ignored their unfriendliness and bought my wife's boots.

Are you guys still riding?

P.S. Guess I found it. Is it this one? I like the 988 myself.

That's the one Elvis. I used to live on 134th just south of 72nd.

I am still riding, was out yesterday and hope to get out today and tomorrow.
I ride in to have a coffee with an older neighbour in the Newton area, on Weds. am.
I used to ride in around 6am but now go in at 7.
By the time I get up the hill to 16th Ave., my visor, windshield and mirrors are fogged up. Has been a little Foggy the past couple of weeks. Clears up when I hit 64th Ave and the Fraser Highway.

I use a Western Boot instead of Redwings, most times a Boulet, with diff. sole and heel, from my regular western boots.

The Fall colours were nice in the Valley today.
Paid 99.9 cents a litre today.

Was it 59.9 only 3 years ago?

That's great, Blackie.

I had to cover the bikes since our insurance expired and rains started. Tonite both me and my wife talked about a day permit, well, we'll see.

Thanks, Blackie. Guess I'll buy me a pair of Redwings for x'mas

Don't forget Dayton's down on Broadway.
Can be expensive.

I have had their Black Beauty model with leather soles, my son had the same with the thick not leather soles.
He swears by them, for me I had a problem with the soles.

Also Stamped Tack in Cloverdale carries a big selection of both Western and Motorcycle Boots. They also carry motorcycle leathers.

When I bought my Bike in June 05, he had the largest selection.
In my weeks of price hunting he was 3rd best.
Gateway was #1, Motorcycleworld was 2nd.

What Orca told me was he brought all his C50's in as SE models and when buyer did not want the extras, he took them off and sold at full retail.

He was the #1 dealer selection wise.

How's the riding out there? I think we're done for the year, the snow doesn't seem to want to melt.
