Late Oct., early Nov. and then Early Feb.( first 2 weeks can be good),
All weather dependent.

This last Fall-Spring stretch was bad.

Rule #1, never turn downs Darren's offer of Coffee, they happen so seldom!!!

Did you hear something Elvis ???...

More the merrier for the ride...all welcome of course.
Take all the shots you want Bob, but I'm still not joining the 'C50 club'.
My Yammie does me just fine.
As for who rides in back, we'll let the ponies decide...

I had an opportunity to test the 96 ci/ 6 speed while on vacation in Hawaii last year. Definitely worth the experience. She purrs like a kitten @ 70 mph. Wife and I toured the big Island all day...a lifetime memory for sure.
If you care to see pic's, I snapped some of the bike in the gallery titled Hawaii '07.

How to get to the "gallery" and find the pics?

How much did you for the daily rental?

Thanks.

Yes it's one of the most cumbersome galleries to navigate, with many ways to arrive at the end result. I usually just go to to the main page menu of motorcycle journal forum...The page where there are 4 featured photo's. Click any one of them to get yourself into the gallery. From there, choose 'home' located on the upper right. A menu will appear which says 'personal albums index'. In that area you should be able to locate Hawaii 07, and there are various shots of the 2007 Electraglide we rented.

I believe the cost was around $150-160/ day. In my opinion, the big Island is one of the best to ride on because of its size. Another good one would be Maui, where one can ride the 'road to Hana'...miles and miles of twisties and hairpins. Well worth every penny to tour the islands on a bike. Beats a cage any time.
Hope this helps.

Atlas

thanks Atlas, saw the pics, EG is such a large bike! We want to go to Hawaii also, maybe at the end of this Nov? $150-160/ day is a bit pricey though.

Hey Elvis... You weren't by any chance on 88th Ave and 152nd area around 5:30 pm on Friday night were you? I saw a his and her duo on a pair of C50's which I gave a nod to.
Just wondered if the world was actually THAT small.

No, Atlas, we weren't there, but that's interesting, another couple riding C50s, wonder how many C50s there are around here?

Just saw a black M50 for sale on the street this afternoon and another 07 C50 on the craig list last night.

Great day ride to Boston Bar on Sunday, perfect weather, good adventure, round trip 455 kms. As you know Coquihalla Highway is now free. They even show it on the electronic hwy boards. Thought about going to Kelowna just because Coquihalla Highway is free

Did you know this leather store in Maple Ridge?

And as for me, I hadn't heard of that leather store before. I'm in the market for a new leather jacket. I've decided to sell my 'classic' styled jacket...too many zippers for my taste. I was thinking of waiting for the bike show in January, but I'll check this place out.

I am also in the market for leather pants or chaps for my wife. We went to Bellingham on Saturday to check out the sores there. Local HD store had nice stuff but with HD logo everywhere then we went to wings where we discovered chap pants [jean styled leather pants with zippers on the sides]. I think she's gonna get a pair of those or wait until the Tradex show in January. Yeah, you might find something you like at the wings.

And no, I'm not kidding the hwy is free.

A coworker of mine told me this last Friday. Initially I thought it was for a day or so. It's hard to believe. But they're going to toll Port Mann Bridge, think 3 bucks one way and that's a rip off.

Hey Bob,

Is your last pair shrinking too? Maybe it's time to cut back on, well, your favorite food and beverage . But I know, how can you resist to a juicy ribeye or a grilled sockeye or another pint of pale ale. I let it go myself long time ago.

It's gotten cold in the AM hours. Wish I bought chap-pants instead of chaps.

How's your calendar looking? The HD demo day is on Oct 19.

Cheers,

I picked up a couple of pair of lined jeans at Mark's Work Warehouse.
2 diff. types of lining, wear a pair chaps over top of them, I use long socks, keeps the wind from creaping up the pant leg. A turtle neck sweater over top of a long sleeve shirt, a good jacket and a neck warmer and those chilly mornings are not so bad.

My youngest just sold his 08 StreetGlide, was not riding much as his buddy had sold his. I had down sized from a Wing and am not looking to move up in size again.

And it is easier to avoid temptation by not surrounding myself with all that chrome!!!

Very good point. Guess I'm looking for trouble

Having said that, I really love the C50. Even if the temptation wins, I'll always ride the C50, I mean my wife's C50 [she says she's completely satisfied with her bike and she's keeping it forever].

I'm also bundled up in the mornings, actually it's not that bad at all, it only takes a bit getting used to, especially the winter gloves also from Mark's Work Wearhouse are pretty thick and now my throttle control is not very precise.
