Glad to hear you were not hurt.
You still doing those shoulder checks?

The family is fine, the wife is now retired.
My oldest son and his family may be relocating to San Diego.
My youngest is committed to 9 races south of the border this year.

I am still bombing around the Valley enjoying the good weather.

Okay Darren, never mind the fish stories.

More and more bikes out now, but still no sight of the Blue M!!!

Take care.

You been sampling the water cooler today Blackie?
I have been getting some seat time. Although it seems I've always got a passenger. Wife...daughter A...daughter B...daughter C...
My youngest has been home schooled for the last month and a half, and will continue for the balance of grade 7. This throws a new dynamic into my days off routine.
Honest, it isn't that I don't want to offer a hot chocolate and some stories, although an ice cream cone would likely be a better choice lately.

And yes, any extra time lately has been to get into the mountains to wet a line. I took my youngest a few weeks ago and did a solo daytrip recently.

Add to this, Mrs. Atlas took a job opportunity that she couldn't pass up, allowing her to work from home Mon-Fri.

...which comes with a whole new set of benefits.

Time to get the wife a bike with a side car, that leaves only the Dog at home!

My ride time is being cut down as our place goes on the market this week.
By the time the sign goes up, the only thing unpacked is me!!!!!

I would accept this funny weather if it holds the flooding off.
These cool nights have helped so far.

I will keep an eye out for a 2up M.

Where are you planning to set up again? I don't envy you. Moving is brutal, at least with a younger family. You must have bottled everything since we last talked. I can't imagine moving a maturing batch to another location.

Further out in the Valley, I mentioned that once but I think I had also stated I had been in the Columbia Valley. But I am not going that far.
Bottled the last batch this morning, it was one I started last June.

Hey at least the Vancouver Giants won the Major A Hockey Memorial Cup.
I was going to ask Smurf if Wacey Rabbit was his other son!!!!

Weather forecast is "Summer Has Arrived".!!!!

Baby sitting tomorrow, I know a 2 year old who is going to be spoiled!

Place is up for sale and inspection of the other is tomorrow.

Jay came 3rd on the first weekend, could not show for the final, ring problems.
The second weekend was at the Montana Track outside LA. Have not talked to him since.

Rob and family were down looking at San Diego last week and they liked but he has not made a choice yet.

The bikes are out there you just have to look harder.

Good weather for riding.
I heard we lost a rider last night. Too much speed!

Take care Andrew.

Where abouts are you thinking of taking up residents?

Rings problems? Hmm thats a big problem...well coming in 3rd thats pretty good being up against alot of people and other well trained riders.

That is quite the change, moving out to San Diego but if you like it, no problems i guess.

"The bikes are out there you just have to look harder." I had to giggle a bit when i saw this...i think ive searched in all places, inlcuding the places i shouldnt be searching....if that makes sense.

Yes I have seen many riders that give riders like us one heck of a bad name, a few of them using the shoulder as a lane while there is no traffic, they just want to get ahead of a few cars. Some of these people are just asking to be hit.

Riding season has BEGUN!

Southern part of Aldergrove.

Lots of bikes on the road heading home from work.
Most in t-shirts, Jeans and running shoes.
T shirts 9 jackets 1.

I must be getting old.

First viewing was yesterday, rejected offer last night, they met the price to night. SOLD!!!

Now just to match up both closing dates. Took some stuff in to storage just a few blocks away from the new site.
I just might get some riding in this week end, before the rain comes.

Wow. Good for you Bob, that was quick. It sounds as though you've already got a place in Aldergrove? Sounds like a smooth transition.
The last time I sold a house it took over six months. Mind you that was back before the market started moving. I played that one wrong, as the owners that bought from us saw 100 % increase in only 4 years.

What dates are you looking at taking possession?

I was set for July 13th but now June 28th.

It sold before making MLS, so I may have been a little low.
But I had already bought and Linda was having trouble with the stairs as we are on the second floor.

One thing I like is I have lots of parking plus a 10' x 13' shop.
It was a pain working out on the parking lot a 100' away.
I was out there last night putting on a light bar. Needed some diff. tools could not leave others there, phoned the wife and she brought them down.
First purchase after moving will be a bike lift.

Going out for a ride to see if the light bar will fall off!

Good weather. Lots of Bikes out.

One Winger's gear consisted of a 3/4 helmet, shorts just shy of being a bikini,
sandles. But his young passenger was in full gear.

2 older British bikes passed heading in the other direction, neither elderly rider had a helmet.

Wearing ATGATT was running around 15%.

Cool Hyder Seek

I rode to Stewart and back last week, a total of 3300 kilometers for the trip, nearly all of it in the sun, although it did rain for a few hours while I was in Stewart. Of the 150 or so bikes there, most were BMWs, GoldWings were common, and then there were the rest of us. Only two Harleys that I noticed. Only one Suzuki cruiser - me.

My best day of riding covered 742 kilometers, which is a far cry for the Iron Butt minimum of 1000 miles in 24 hours. Don't think I'd attempt that on my little C50.

Next year should see a major registration, as it is the 10th anniversary of the ride. Some of you guys should give it a try. Check out Ayres Adventures - Guided Motorcycle Tours

Here she is, all loaded up and ready to go - standard Suzuki saddlebags and a Kuryakin Tombstone Bag on the seat. The Tombstone Bag is a great idea - room for quite a bit of gear, and it adds immeasurably to the comfort level.

How many days riding to cover the 3300 kms?

Is your bike a T or an SE?

Sounds like you had a good ride.
This picture is outdated, I have since added an OEM Lightbar and Engine Guard.

Out down past Fort Langley and the River level is just below the road.
Fields on the other side covered in water.
Past Mission, the River has expanded by 150 to 200', the Slough is full,
the Island by the Bridge heading into the Chilliwack roundabout are covered, just the trees showing.

We need cool weather and no rain.
