Hi Atlas, almost called you for a ride.
I had coffee with the neighbor and coming back, I saw blue sky.
So I came in got together some food for dinner, checked the forecast and said rain not expected till late in the afternoon. Got ready to put on my gear, checked outside, black clouds.
So I walked to get a haircut and stopped at the library, needless to say I was wet by the time I got home.

2 weeks no riding. I am really thinking I should have stored the bike.

I should have put the liner back in my casual jacket, I took it to use with my motorcycle jacket. The wind was a little cool.

Bob

You know what they say about hindsight...
The weather has been the pitts for sure. I still haven't ridden since our last ride! It's bound to get better. Remember how nice it was last year in late Jan, and Feb. The skies can only hold so much precip.
I'll admit I got alot more riding in last winter. Still seeing a few bikes out, rain and all. A workmate who rides was just saying it's supposed to be nice tomorrow, and then the cold weather hits. Was thinking of riding in to work. We'll see...

Did you ride in today?
The forecast says possibility of snow flurries.

Will give it another hour and see if I can get a couple of hours in before hits.
Hopefully it will be like last time, when we out ran it.

I took the cage. I didn't want to chance it.
I don't get out of here until 6:00 pm, so I thought I may get caught in an ugly mess. The radio was saying mixed rain and snow in Maple Ridge in the early am. Looks like a nice morning from out here in Richmond. Be careful if you head out.

3 Hours on the roads.

6 rainstorms, 2 with hail, 2 periods of sunshine, an old fart who forgot to put his wool socks on and 1 bike put away dirty.
1 Semi driver with dual flat decks, empty, doing a sudden lane change, with me almost even with his cab. He spotted me 3/4 of the way into his lane change and swerved back into the other lane. By then I was back by his last flat deck wondering if I was going to make it or dump as there was a concrete curb on my left and he was on my right. Not the type of squeeze play I enjoy.

I will say I was the only idiot out there. I stopped at Langley Holeshot, Mike said he has not had anybody ride in for awhile.
Could have used a riding buddy to buy a hot chocolate.

Hi Atlas
As you are logged on, I assume you have day shift.
Have you worn out the shovel yet?
I expect the rain forecast for next week will create a minor flood for a few days.

Now the chance of sun next week, even if I can get out for an hour, would be nice. I have not cleaned the bike from last outing.

How is the family, are both daughters healing well?
With the rain, snow and cold weather we deserve a mild Jan./Feb.

Hi Bob. Family is doing good. My youngest got her cast off of her broken arm last week, so she's on the mend.
As for the shovel...I had to buy a new one.
I'm really looking forward to getting out for a ride as well. I haven't even tried to start her up since we last rode. I have been wondering what she'll do when I crank it over...I'm off Tues-Fri. What hour are we due for sun?

Stopped by Georges on the 1st, and picked up 2 more batches of Cab/ Sav...so the smell of fermentation is once again in the air.

Take care Bob

Tues. to Fri. show some sun.
If it rains hard enough Sunday and Monday, should be dry Wed./Thurs. for an hour or 2.

I'll give you a call if the roads look worthy and my schedule permits.

Hi Andrew

How is school going?
Wine is a personal taste. they may prefer a white, a Red or a sparkling wine.
You can give them a nice sparkling wine to serve with X-Mas dinner.
Drop in to a wine shop, a lot of malls have them and they will recommend a good buy. But try to find out their preference first.

I hope every thing is going well.

Also ill be taking on some tae kwon doe, that should be interesting. Also I may be moving into my own place very soon depending on what happens.

Not all reds are equal. A Merlot is considered a light Red whereas a Cabernat Sauvigon is a full bodied wine. So looking for good Merlot or choosing a sparkling
wine for the dinner table, may be the way to go.

I hope everything works out Andrew.

I went out to clean the bike from last ride in the rain. The sun came out so I managed to get 2 hours seat time.
Had a wind storm yesterday, another expected Thursday, winds on Monday were up to 110 kms, Thursday is supposed to be worse.
