Default Tail light question

I really like the tail light on my M50 and I was wondering if anyone here knows if it is possible to replace the one on an '04 1600 Maurader with it? Since they both have the upswept rear fender I was hoping it would fit. Probably just wishful thinking though. Thanks for the help.

Wishfull thinking. I think the M50s light fits the contour of that "batfender". The Marauder I believe usess the same taillight as the earlier 800 Marauders. They make an LED tailight setup for it I believe - check one of the online parts places. I was sniffing around those a couple of weeks ago.

I will check that out. Thanks. I like the LED thing and the size is bigger. Just trying to give the folks behind me a little more to see.

Here's one of the things I'd like to do to mine, and the sooner the better:

That looks like a great idea. I must admit with my experience I have ridden only twice in the dark. I don't like it, could be my age...whatever and I live in a mountain area. Lots of critters...big ones around here. But even a coyote (and those things are everywhere) can be disasterous. Thanks again for the post, I am filing these away and will put them to good use soon. Have fun.

Part of the problem is the vz1600 is built by Kawasaki not suzuki. The chances of that light fitting is very slim.

I've been working 2nd shift since last summer, so I don't get off until 2AM. I was worried more at first about drunks on the road; now it's deer, armadillo, and skunks. I can't tell you how many grinners (oppossum) I've had to dodge lumbering around in the road, but at least they are usually kind of slow and predictable. Unlike coons that like to sprint out in front of you from no where. I'm still concerned about the drunks, but as long as any car has it's headlights on I can see it coming and be prepared for action. A Bambi from the ditch can be another story. I put driving lights on my M50 and replaced the anemic bulbs with 50 watters - and that is next on the list for the 1600.

I think Clear Alternatives or one of them make an LED taillight specifically for the 1600. That might be something to confirm though.
