Default American Chopper

I've been off of work for the last month and I'm getting so bored. I’m actually getting addicted to American Chopper. I used to hate this show. Now, I can’t wait until it comes on again.

You do realize that the show is scripted not to the level of that lame show Texas Hardtails but scripted none the less. So much for reality show. But.. I do like to watch it for the technical aspect.(A.C. not Texas hardtails)

Side note: I word 3mi. from Strokers and the owner of the bike shop I work with (Lone Star Custom Bikes) knows Rick Fairless and went to school with the Martin Bros. Their shop is about 5mi from my house. I'm surrounded by Custom shops.

Well I'm not really a fan of "reality TV" any way. But I like seeing the bikes come together from scratch. I don't have an ounce of creative talent so I apreciate what they come up with.

I love that show also. I know it's scripted to a certain point. All tv is scritpted regardless of reality or not. Just seeing those bikes come to life is all I pretty much watch it for.

ive seen EVERY episode of OCC....i get tired of the arguing, but liek the design process. its not as scripted as you guys think, they do all that stuff and then they edit it to fit an hour show....im sure there is some "do that again" or "hey what could we add to make this interesting? ooh, lets have mikey drive the truck into the pond" type stuff.

you should watch the "behind the scenes" type shows they make (there was one a couple weeks ago). its cool to see how they make that show. also this weeks was a repeat of how the company started, paul sr when he was younger, etc.

I saw that show. Nice to have a little back ground. And I don't think Mikey is as stupid as they try to make him out to be.

I like hardtails just because it's more or less a spoof of the other reality shows. Nobody could be that bad of and actor or actress if they tried. It's like some of them are reading from a book. What is it that their promo says? "somewhat true, total unreal"

Texas Hardtails
A half-hour motorcycle-themed reality show spoof, more comedic than confrontational. Merging disparate elements from shows such as American Chopper and Curb Your Enthusiasm, the series is essentially an unscripted sitcom featuring real people playing themselves in real environments under fictional circumstances. At its center is nationally renowned custom bike builder Rick Fairless and his crew of family and friends at Strokers Dallas - a real-life bike shop and beer joint unlike any other. This ain't your daddy's motorcycle show.

Spoof or not it makes bikers and motorcyclist look like complete morons. And it is even worse that they picked a Texas shop to do it in. Of course ol' Rick didn't have to do it.

My favorite is V-Twin TV. On speed channel. OCC is getting kinda stale with the bickering.

There is another show coming up next year that focuses on Metric cruisers. The name I believe is Metric Revolution. It is another build off show.
