| Fender Buffer ![]() | I took my bike in for a quote on my seat from a local reupholstery store, need 1½" shaved off the stock seat. He quoted me $185. Now to me, that's WOW but then again, this is my first bike, don't have experience with this so here I am asking if this price is good or bad. He told me he would not be able to use the same cover since the padding size will then be different so he will have to make a cover to fit and that's what brings the price to $185. Unfortunately, he's the only one in this small town that does motorcycle seats. If this is a high price, I might as well get a whole new seat. Aloha, Kehau

| Even though the price is high you may not have any alternative than go custom. Since the S50 is relatively new the large aftermarket companies like Corbin and Mustang have not developed a seat as of yet. At least that's true for my bike the M50 so I am applying the same idea. Check with them and see if this is true. If it's worth $185.00 to ride in comfort then go for it!

| $185. isn't bad at all if he has to re-upholster it. i had one done a year ago and it was $180. i would ask him to use the gel foam if you decide to go that way. later, bud
