Yes blackie, but you cared enough to listen.

Remember, when choosing between the C50 and M50, refer to sundude's post. I trust you'll make the right decision.

The Pink Hippo needs no flame suit for he is thick-skinned.

I'm sure he is thick skinned, however I am sure he needs a hell of a lot of sunblock?

SPF69 and he's ready to ride the M and take whatever the C50 camp can dish out (all in good fun).

Basically all M50 owners secretly wish they had as much chrome as a C50, but dont want to admit it.

Come on people really, why would anyone buy a cruiser that looks more like a road/sports bike.

The C50 has it all, especially my C50T

peace

Both bikes have pros and cons, maybe you guys can help me sort throught them. I like the looks of the M50 better than the Yamaha. The Yamaha has a better braking system it seems with dual front disk and a disk in the rear where the M50 has single front disk and drum in the rear. The M50 however it FI and water cooled. I can sit flat footed a little easier on the 1100 but it isn't really a stretch on the M50 either. I'm not a big guy at 5'5" about 145lbs. My brother has a Honda Shadow 750 which seems doggy to me and if the M50 which is an 800 can't do better than the Honda then I know it's not going to have enough power for me. I'm hoping somebody reads this that has ridden alot of bikes and help compare the M50's power. I'm not really going to be on a lot of long distance rides but will take a couple hours rides once in a while with the wife on back. It needs to be able to handle 2 up at highway speeds, which I'm sure it can but I don't want it wining at me about doing it.
Heres a link that gives good info on the M50 and C50T

I hope your kidding. Cause that is the main reason I got my M. I love the blacked out sporty look. Doesn't look like your typical shiny chrome Harley wanna be crusier.

The M50 should have come how mine looks now...all suzuki did was make extra work for me.

Well honestly if there was no M50, I'd have stayed in the standard/sport bike market. Everything else is either too heavy or too blingy for my taste.

I wasn't trying to be rude either by the way, just messing around. Even if I wanted the C50 style bike and I had the money I still would not get a Harley. The only Harley I would consider is the V-rod.

No war here; just some friendly banter between the M and C riders. This should show you how highly we think of our bikes. Suzuki really hit a home run with their middleweight Boulevard line. Both of the 50's are really fine bikes and it boils down to your personal preference. Enjoy the show. It's all in good fun.

p.s.
The M50 is much cooler BTW.

You know, that is the only thing I dont like about my C50T.

I look even more like a damn Harley Wanna be, I am very unfortunate as when I got my bike I didnt have a jacket as it was my first bike for many years, and the only jacket that was leather, felt comfortable and my size was a damn cool looking harley davidson leather jacket

SO I really do look like a wannabe harley boy.

I really bought the suzuki because thats the bike I wanted, if I wanted a harley, I would have bought one.

Hey Ezridr1: I couldnt agree more.
Friendy banter and really does show what great bikes both the M50 and C50 are.

cheers

Sounds like your weather has turned cold. Much warmer on a C50.
Time to make the switch EZ!!!!!!

Well, I finally rode the M50, 1100 Silverado and the C50T today. The M50 was by far the funnest and quickest. It really did perform better than I expected. It really seemed quicker than either of the others. My dad was riding the other two but we switched off and on so we could compare. We both agree that the M50 runs harder than either of the others. I wasn't very impressed at all with the 1100, neither was my dad who planned on buying it but is now interest in the C50T. He's hoping it will have enough high end power. The 1100 had too much vibration for him. The M was so smooth. 75 mph felt like 55, except for the 45 degree air rushing into my face, felt like I was just gliding. I think I will be buying an M50.

Good choice. The only downside to the M is the lack of aftermarket support.
For the price, it is hard to beat. You can always get a C when you become a senior citizen.

Everyone has an opinion on this issue. To speak for a newbie, the M50 is pure awesome. I took an MSF course and bought my bike the next day and I drove it home in Atlanta traffic. That's how comforting this bike is. It handles and move with authority. The bike is heavy but the heft went into a fantastic front suspension system that holds vibrations at bay. At 75 mph, it just glides down the road. Also there is no perfromance different between the black and blue M50. The blue is pure beauty to behold. Get this bike, I love it more and more I ride.

hey biker218.

I had the opposite experience with the M50 and C50. The M50 felt like it was revving more at crusing speeds and the C50 felt like it was driving slower than the speedo said it was.

Sure the M50 did feel more nippy in traffic and in town. But I bought a bike as a "cruiser" and not a sport bike.

I know Ive said this before, but.

The M50 is not a cruiser or a sports bike, thats why I dont like them. I do understand the M50 owners do love them and they are great bikes.

But if you want a "Mans" bike, bet the C50!!
If you want a "Boys" bike, get the M50

Here we go again!!

All good

cheers

Walter
