Hello everyone! Please, I take this oportunity to introduce myself. I have been reading threads here little over a month, learning more and more about motorcycles, specially cruisers. My name is Pete, from Philadelphia, PA. I finally made the decision of purchasing a bike and recently bought a 2006 C90T from a dealership about three hours ride from Philadelphia. Right now I own a bike that is not even in my garage, still have to pick it up this Saturday. After doing my homework of learning about the bike and buying the bike, U Haul has made things very difficult because of their policy of not renting a Ramp Trailer to be towed with a Ford Explorer. It is the reason why the bike remains in Duncansville, PA. Well, by now I am hoping that my nearest U haul still holding the Ramp Trailer for me until this Saturday. My Motorcycle riding experience is very minimun. The bike is coming and home and to storage until I take the MSF Course. As a kid, while living in the Dominican Republic, I used to ride a Honda P-50 around the neighborhood. It is one of those little bikes usually seen in Vietnam movies in the streets of Saigon. That has been about 25 years ago. Now suddenly, the big rush of owning a big bike because my friends are cruising up and down in their C50s and Volusias. It is going to be a very diffcult winter for me knowing that I have that bike but cannot ride it yet. To be on the safe side I declined to get the registration yet. I promised no riding until taking the class, so I must honor my promise. So far the bike will come home with a few upgrades, such as, Chrome swingarm cover, billet batery cover, OEM light bar, and billet rear brake master cylinder cover. I am still debating on the billet luggage rack. I thank everyone for the very informative posting which have made things more clear and easier, to come this far with the idea of wanting a bike to buying a bike in such a short time. I am very satisfied with the price I got on the bike. Of course, I got my first line of info from you guys about Cycle Traders.com, and what some of you have paid for things. Again, thank you very much. I'll try to survive the fever of the bike in the garage until next March. Hoping that my job keep me extra busy not to think too much about my GunMetal 2006 C90T. It is a Beautiful bike, indeed! Please, I welcome any suggestion, ideas, advise, etc, etc... Will post pix after this coming Saturday. Pete AKA Juan Valdez Columbian Coffee Purveyor |
