Default Took The Plunge

Today was the day; my nice blue M50 is gone. Now in it's place is a black metallic 1600 Marauder. Very fun to ride - feels similar to the M only much more torque. A few neat things like self-canceling turn signals and you can remove the key once you turn it on (saves on scratches from your key chain). I'll sure miss that color of blue though - one of the sharpest blue paint colors I've seen. Was going to buy the only blue Marauder they had left but it was a floor model and scratched all to hell, and the blue didn't grab me like the M50. Mine had two miles and slightly scuffed tires, so I can only assume it got one test ride. Like the power, like the ergos - Kawazuki did a nice job on this model. The only problem is now we are heading for cold weather, so I'll get to look at it more than ride it. But Spring is just around the corner.....

Ooooh, I'm jealous! Try to get in a few rides on the 1600 for me, will ya.

I almost made the plunge today. For some reason, I had a hair up my butt that told me I wanted a '04 CBR1000RR. The bike was bone stock, has 2,500 miles on it, and was going for about $8,700. I was ready to trade in my Sportster plus sacrifice my left one, but in the end would have cost about $10K due to insufficient equity. Oh well, I guess I'll just pay off the Sporty and see if I can get a new Honda Interceptor instead (my current fascination).

Congrats on the new bike. I like the meanstreak a lot. Will probably be my next bike, unless something else I like better comes out by the time I'm ready to give up my M50.

Congratulations. I guess you don't need those measurements now. I would suggest that when you can change the pipes and intake. If you have a dyno shop not far away have it dynode after replacing the pipes and intake. It’s worth the money.
Again, congratulations. I know you will love this bike.
