| A good biker friend of mine is a Harley engineer. He says the most common mistake that guys make is buying a Harley, and pulling the pipe off and putting the straight shots or drag pipe on. Sure its louder, but you will lose performance. Unless a rejet is done on the fuel mixture power will be lost. The figure he gave me at the time was 5 plus hp on a 1200 cc sportster. Considering that a 1200 Cc sportster makes about 42 (give or take ) Hp, thats makes about a 8% loss in hp by my crude math. Not to mention torque, a Harley strong suit. Glad you are happy with your pipes, sounds like a good deal all around. Doc.
