Is this a simple plug in, or will I need to rewire? Thanks for the help!

| Thanks Blackie, but I'm still a little confused. Do the bulbs come with new sockets? I just want to have everything ready when I get the lightbar so I can get it done in one attempt. Since I've never see inside a light bar, so I have no idea what lies ahead.

| I read in the other site, that when you cut off the old end the wire is a little short and some have soldered a 6" piece to extend the wire you are working with. VolusiaRiders.com :: View topic - Using the 4411 lamps in the OEM litebar?? Last edited by blackie1491; 06-27-2006 at 08:31 PM. |

| Blackie, I've got the Mustang seat coming along with the light bar. I'll let you know how I like it. It'd be great to have it by this loooong weekend but I doubt that I get it. I ordered it Monday from Eric at Extreme.

| i got a price from Eric to-day. Long story. Someone here from Canada was complaing about the high prices here so I showed him one on E-bay.ca. I then met a fellow out at a dealer who swore by his, he was driving that day but the dealer had a used Silverado, with a Mustang, on the floor, I tried it it seemed good. I checked E-Bay and did not see the member bidding, so I jumped in and the price went up to were I sad no way as this was a used seat and would cost $450 Cdn landed. I went to a Mustang dealer here, the 75810 is $704.95 plus taxes, 75811 is $649.95 ,plus taxes. Mustang lists at 75810 $459. 75811 $439 US dollars Eric would be $500 Cdn after taxes landed. The problem for me is I have not sat on one on a C50. |

| I sat on one two weeks ago at a bike night locally. That along with the wife not liking the ride 2-up convinced me to go with the Mustang.

| Mine came with the wire looms coming out of the back of the housings and going under the cover on the front of the bars. If you look in this loom, there are "bullet" friction fit connectors, so you shouldn't have to cut the wires. You should be able to just unplug and remove the stock light socket. The 4411's are sealed beam, so there is no socket for them. It's glass and all, and they fit the bar like a glove. Mine had screw terminals, so I just made a jumper wire to go from the "bullet" to the screw terminal. Attached is a picture. (I know, I know, I should have used black and red wire, but yellow is all I had at work, and I'm too lazy to change it out since they work so well. And thanks, zukirob, for warning us of the wayward ways of electricity. I haven't had any issues with the extra amp draw, and to me the extra 10 watts each are well worth it. Makes a big difference at night, and it's definitly more noticeable during the day. I leave mine on all the time, and no problems yet. Oh yeah, and the bulbs really don't care about polarity, so you can hook up the positive and negative on either side and it really doesn't matter. If the picture doesn't show what you want, or if you have any questions about my conversion, feel free to drop me an email. Good luck, Jerryzuki. And may you keep the rubber side down. |

| Thanks Bravo! It doesn't get any clearer than that. Great picture and description. I got the bar installed last night (thanks Eric for quick shipping, I order it Monday) and will run the stock lights until one of them blows I guess. From what I've read that won't be very long.
