I have 400 miles on my new bike. I took it out for a spin today and notice it was stauling out when I went from 2nd gear to 3rd. It also back - fired. I drove it for about 5 minutes and the problem went away. This is the second time this has happened. Has anyone had this problem?

Have the dealer give it the once-over when you bring the bike in for the first service at 600 miles. The FI may have a dirty or sticking component, the computer could be screwed, a sensor could be screwed, you could have an exhaust or intake leak causing odd readings at a sensor, the enricher circuit could be set up wrong ot malfuctioning/ sticking...could be a lot of things.

You may have had a little bit of water in your gas and that can cause stalling and back-fires. I have almost 1200 miles on mine and so far have never had as mich as a hiccup. when I am putting around i normally shift into 2nd at not much more speed than a fast walk. Never experienced any problem. The bike has enough torque to pull off from a stop in 2nd gear with no sweat.
