It's my fault. It started raining the day I commited to the bike purchase, and has rained ever sense! Now thats frustration... getting a new bike, and can't even ride it!

Actually I've had it out about 3 times now for a total of 6 miles. LOL

AAHH - after nine straight days the weather lifted Friday night into Saturday. Saturday was absolutely glorious. I got an early start and spent the morning riding through the Amish farmland of Lancaster County, PA. - the buggies were out in full force! Lunch was at a local smorgasbord. Followed by an afternoon ride into New Hope, Pa. - just hanging out, with dinner at an outdoor cafe. Got home in the early evening with about 250 miles on the clock for the day.

Probably warm & dry enough to ride today here in Keeseville, NY for the first time in over a week. But with 35-50 MPH winds, I think I'll stay home.

Still high winds and threatening rains here on a Sunday afternoon. Guess I'll watch the Bills lose to the Jets. Good to see that somewhat got out to ride (Philly). Are the leaves turned down your way Philly ????

I'm in Nassau Ny (Long Island) and after eight days of steady rain...I finally rode to work yesterday evening...I'm very happy, esp after being in the cager for a good long week.

Hey Pirate - leaves are just starting to turn. Quite late this year, usually we are well into the season by now. September was unseasonably warm and this week is forecast for the low 70's - that may have something to do with a late leaf season.

Thumbs up Orygun Rain

Surprisingly we are having a mild fall here. I like riding in the cool weather. Do not like riding in the rain though. Had a great ride last night, it was cool and the roads were dry, just a few very small drops of rain, don't mind that.
Not getting my stitches out of my clutch hand until next week, but I can pull the clutch with my first two fingers and it doesn't hurt too bad. Have to ride crippled or not! Stitches are holding so everything is fine.
Can't keep the horse in the barn she has to get out and run. Takes 5 miles just to get that S50 to operating temp in this weather. Bikers wave more in the cool weather, they figure only the true believers are on the roads.

Default Mild no more!

The Oregon mild fall has turned nasty and we have drenching rain and wind forecast for the next...........forever! I rode between the rain clouds last week and now it may be some time before that will happen again. Not to mention the grass is high and the leaves are higher and it is not fun to mow or rake in the pouring rain! And since the time change it is dark when I get home and it always rains on the weekends. I need to crawl into a cave and hybernate until spring!

Cool Oregon and Washington

Up here in the Northwest if we don't ride in the rain it limits our riding to only about 3 months. I don't like washing the bike, don't like windshields, never bought decent rain gear. Oregon cage drivers are crazy and even worse when the pavement is wet. I believe it's because most of them are Californeea drivers who moved up here for the cheap property. But they don't know how to drive in the rain!
