Default Got my first "Hey, what kind of bike is that?" tonight

My wife and I were filling up our bikes tonight (her on her S40, me on the M50) and a guy walks over and very enthusiastically asks me what kind of bike I have. He went on an on about how nice it looked, and how much bikes have changed over the years, and so on. I know it isn't much, but it felt pretty cool to have a complete stranger inquire about my sweet red M50. I just put some bags on it today, and a new fork bag, so it has a different look than without, and I think it is a good look. Anyway, just thought I'd share. I have had many bikes over the years, and the only other bike that ever caused anyone to come up to me was my XR650L, which I still have. The M50 just gets better with each ride.

i get that question all the time, expecially debadged. people think it is a custom built thing. they wanna know how much it was, engine size...etc.

I think he did, at first anyway. I don't have it debadged yet, but by the end of the day, if nothing else, the "stickers" will be gone. I'll probably leave the tank badges on....I think that looks pretty good. I have today off, so I'll get a few pics.

believe me, i thought the same about the badges. and when the dealer had to replace the tank, and told me it didnt come with badges and they would have to order them, i was mad.

then i saw the bike and WOW....so much meaner and stylish without them! what a difference!!

I said the same exact same thing, only problem with the badges is the same ones are on every 05 and up cruiser Suzuki makes. You will like it better with them off. Look for threads that show pics of debadged zukies and you will see.

Have been asked several times is it a harley.. and get a lot of "it is sure a nice looking bike"......a while back, in july, went on a poker run sponsered by harley dealer and we parked in front of dealership while waiting... when people went in to register had to walk by my bike...( )...alot of them stopped and commented on the bike.....( harley riders.majority) some would look, ask what it cost, grunt and walk off....I was grinning like a skunk sucking S#@t through a comb......

I think this was before my time. What happened to cause the dealer to replace your tank?

Maybe I'll take them off then. If I like them better back on the bike, I can put them back on.

my tank had a scratch on it when i went to pick it up the day they hit dealers (end of Feb). it had happened in shipping i guess (or assembly). they ordered me a new tank and i took it back up a couple months later to get it replaced. i got FREE Kury ISO grips - installed- out of the deal though!

Right on man. Glad to hear your "stealer" worked with ya on that. Lately too many times have people forgot what customer service is really about.

Here are a couple of shots of my bike, and my wifes bike. Don't mind the Camaro pics, I was too lazy to make a new album.
