Default It never can be as easy as it looks.

Watched the how to video on debaffling my bike and it started off wrong because instead of a 1.5 inch hole saw bit I needed a 1.75 one as the guide. 2 cordless drills that keep dying and finally when I get the top pipe cut through the damn center part will not come out from the backside baffle and to top it off it's raining

Damn, i love my days off

+1 to that......just did it back in late August.......it's like, "how the friggin' long is this gonna take!!" took me about an hour, I turned it, done the up and down side to side, gripped it with vise grips and pulled a few times-(get a helper if needed, to keep the bike from falling over) and went back to turning the dowell side to side...it will come just seems to take for ever.

Just got one of em out but I cheated...I took a screw driver and a hammer to fold back the wall of the inner baffle. It's too damn cold and wet to be out there an hour plus my wife just took my cup of coffee so I needed a way to relieve the stress quicker

UH OH,,,, somewhere I read it is a bad thing to debaffle the C90/VL1500LC,,,, don't know where I read it but something about screwing the bikes performance up seriously.
Are you going to put in the ThunderMonsters????? I was going to debaffle mine and I think it was DrBob who said that it was not a good idea on the "LC". Might want to check with him or Moccasin Mike on this.

I like the sound of the stock pipes as they are. I am at 5,000 miles and they are broken in. I think with the addition of the K&N, the sound is just right.

Well, apparently you can't debaffle the bottom pipe. It isn't set up the same way. I suppose with a sawzall or something like that you could but it isn't something I even want to try at this point. I'll just ride it like it is until I get new pipes. It sounds better than what it did. I rode it around the block but only had it to second gear but I didn't notice anything...so far. I did call up the dealer prior to doing this to make sure it wouldn't void any warranties etc and they said it wouldn't.

It's the end of the riding year I doubt i'll even get to the 600 mile mark so I have plenty of time to buy my new pipes and power commander etc.

i am betting one debaffle and one stck is NOT good for the engine....backpressure being totally diff from one cylinder to the next?

asking for trouble if you ask me. id ask some people who know more at this point.

Yeah, the backpressure is the one thing that I am concerned about. I am looking up information right now about it so see how much of a pressure difference there is. Remember that the back plate is still intact which has three small holes. It isn't a straight pipe in that sense. I suppose I could drill holes around the thing to let more air escape but as of right now i'm just holding off until I find more info.

At the very worst I will just have to buy new pipes Merry christmas...To me!

I didn't know that V & H made a 2 into 1 pipe for this bike? Nevermind, I just remembered that he has A C90. Wish I had a rear disc brake.
