Default S40 650 Foot Peg Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the rider pegs on an S40 650? I've never seen a setup like this before. I think the setup is the same on a 650 Savage so anyone with one of those may be able to help also.

You have to remove the rear tire to do it easy. you can cut down a alen wrench and do it with the wheel on that way.
