Default Meaning of S-, C- and M-

I fond this tidbit of info and thought it was interesting. Of course, you all knw that right?

Quote:
For 2006, Suzuki introduces the long-awaited all-new M109R along with eight returning 2005 models: C90, C90T, C50, C50T, M50, plus the S83, S50, and S40. The specific product names reflect not only engine size in cubic-inch displacement, but also the style of the bike as well - the stylish "S" series, the "C" series featuring classic cruiser styling and the more-muscular "M" bikes.

I was more of under the impression that the "S" was "standard." But good info to know...

C = classic...not cruiser!

i knew the C and M....hence my "muscle cruiser". but i thought s=sport, oh well..

any research shows common lettering like the VTX C, R, S...etc. R=Retro btw.

When Suzuki first changed the name to "Boulevard" the press release said "S' was for "Sport", "C" for "Custom", and "M" for "Muscle", as the VS series is pretty sporty with lots of power and great lean angle, the Volusia/ LC have that fat, custom look, and the Maurauder/ M50 have the agressive muscular look.
