Default EasyBracket order & install tip

I was asked by Knightenforcer about my easy brackets and decided to leave a post for anyone considering adding the easy brackets to their bike.

I was asked about the part and I noticed on JP Cycles website they only list a C50 bracket. If you goto the Easybracket website you'll see that there are 2 options: 1 without a backrest (VOL-R1) and 1 with a backrest (VOL-R1BR). Insure that where every you shop that they give you that option.

Ordering without being able to choose the proper one obviously will make sure that you get the wrong one..hehe.

The bolts for the backrest option are longer of course so if you do get them but don't have the backrest on, place small rubber spacers behind them so they will fit properly.

If your bags seem hard to fit, check to see if the post on the bolts are lined up. I noticed that when installing the backrest that if I tightened the rear bolt all the way tight my post where just barely out of line and the brackets would not go on. I backed out the rear bolts 2 turns and they slide right on no problem and the bolt with loctite is still on secure enough.

And if you are having trouble getting the front fender bolt back in, take an allen wrench, reach up under the fender and find the support bracket. You will notice a hole in the front of that frame and use your allen wrench to lift up or down while trying to thread in the bolt. It'll help line things up w/o cursing till your throats sore.
