Default Slight bending of kickstand

Last night I left my Marauder in the driveway, which I don't normaly do. My wife backed into it accidentally but very slowly. The bike wasn't in gear and the car bumper was against the front tire so it was pushed back about six inches before she stopped. This morning I noticed the bike was parked at a jauntier angle than usual. I took a good look at the bike and the kickstand is a bit further forward than it was before. The bracket that the kickstand is attached to is bent forward.

Now I'm trying to decide what I want to do to get it bent back into the proper position. The problem is that the bracket the kickstand is attached to is welded to the frame. Basically its part of the frame. Right now I have two thoughts on how to deal with it. Cro-magnon man approach, where I put a block of wood or something up against the front corner of the frame so I don't scrape it up and then pound on it with a small sledge hammer. Idea number two is to take the kickstand off and then somehow use a big pipe wrench or some other large metal things to exert enough force, gently, to bend the frame piece back.
