Default Hubbys gonna drill my pipes :-0

Hubby took my bike to work today - need to share the milage between the 2 bikes of course...

He called and asked if I minded if they drilled the backplates(he works in the service dept of a car dealership, one of his mechanics is a bike lover, lol) So i said, np, have a ball...

A little nervous, but heck if i dont like it i can always buy new pipes right?

(bling bling)

You know, I can see through you on this one... I'd bet you'd say you don't like what they did and you're definitely getting new pipes!!! Admit it, ZD has taken over you!!!

Yeah,,, no kidding,,, I was wondering if Tim was gonna touch this one. I agree with you Noel,, I see right through her plan too. Hubby comes home with the bike,, it sounds worse and now the pipes are ruined,, so now we HAVE to go and get new pipes. Since I got new pipes now I have to go and get a programmer. Since I got the programmer I need to get the K&N filter,,etc,etc,etc.......

Catherine www.VolusiaGateway.us has several sound recordings of stock pipes and aftermarket pipes under the document vault area.

You all fall into my ploy of making you THINK I have ZD so well, that is my plan, to make you THINK it is ZD...

Of course we know before getting new pipes will will need to determine that not only do they not sound right drilled, but then debaffled..then of course there would be no turning back...

I really am hoping we all like the sound when they are drilled tho

drilled pipes get a little bit louder, but not as low as i would like. i have 5 holes in each pipe, just the first plate. thinking about getting an extension and going to 2nd plate too.

same plan here though, if i dont like them then time for new ones!

i got to hear Tim's 2 into 1 pipes yesterday...not too bad...almost a sport bike kinda sound when rpm's are up.

I debaffled my pipes and I don't like it. It sounds loud but almost like water is in there. I lost power in the low end and it seems to vibrate more. I am getting new pipes ASAP. I bought a COBRA hoping that would help but it didn't. I disconnected the battery for a minute and don't have any pops or anything. I made a mistake and I wish I would have left it stock until I got new pipes.

You live and You learn.

catherine;
I am at 4,300 miles, my stock pipes sound great. Everyone seems to think I have aftermarket. The K&N and Techlusion combined with the pipes are awesome. The pipes rap working down thru the gears and roar working up thru the shifts. Break your pipes in.
