| Well it was a hard choice to make but I finally bought new jackets for me and my wife. Being that I have a cruiser leather was the natural choice yet my wallet said no and since we live in a climate that has very few really cold days I decided on mesh jackets with liners that are waterproof and of course wind proof. We took them out for a test ride on Sat night. And I must say that it was like riding within a cocoon. No real wind got through yet we stayed cool (took the liners out). At one point we got behind a truck that was sandblasting everything in its path yet we felt nothing just heard it hitting the windshield and the helmets (didn’t stay behind it very long either). The real test will be on the way home tonight in the heat and traffic. Most of the armor is ok and you can’t even tell that it is there, but I removed the shoulder pads from my jacket didn’t like the way they felt. Moto GP is the brand and I got them fairly cheap. $110ea Black with reflective striping. |
