|  27yrs old puts me here
this is my 1981 yamaha maxim xj550... it was black when i bought it in 1992. i rode it until i got out of the Air Force and brought it home. i painted it over the winter of 1994-1995 and then parked it. its really too small for me and especially too small for my wife and i... i was pressured into getting it going again last summer and i got lots of elbow grease expended in cleaning it and then some mechanical on the carbs. it wouldnt fire off so i took it to a shop. they did a little tweaking and got it running. i did the fork seals at that time... this baby runs really well and got me 44 mpg on a recent 86 mile ride with speeds from 45-85 mph... d   as it sat in the garage last august while i cleaned it up  |
