| Formerly Rice Burner ![]() | Recently bought a 2006 Bullet 350. Well, actually she is not 25 years or more but designed in 1955 still made in India. Was wondering how many Enfield owners here. Would like to share problems and technical experiences. The other day she rode up to the 5th level of Mt. Fuji (2000 m, about 6600 feet) expecting carb adjustments but made it without any problems: http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...ng-eating.html ![]() Last edited by Samurai; 06-07-2008 at 08:05 PM. |

| These retro Enfields are beautiful bikes but they are reproductions. Be gentle with it. My British bike friends have all said the Indian Enfields have had a lot of corners cut in the use of bushings, bearings, races, and quality of the metal used in castings. Pitzz |

I think I am lucky so far - no oil drops after 11,000 km run Have made some modifications, the short silencer with the inner baffle, new carb and pancake air-filter. Power, speed, gas-mileage and carb maintainability are significantly improved, especially gas mileage - from 66 mpg to 82 mpg that saves a lot in a small crappy country where regular gas price will go up again and again to $6.50 per gallon next month. |

| It really is a beautiful bike. The first time I saw one parked on the street (actually it was on the sidewalk) here in NYC it stopped me in my tracks. I hope yours treats you well. I've said on other threads, while talking about my old bikes, that it isn't always reliabilty that counts the most. It's the smile factor! Pitzz |

| Formerly Rice Burner ![]() | Yep, you can say that again - it isn't always reliability that counts the most. It's the smile factor! My previous mc, ST had NO problems for 3.5 years, 35,000 km but the current toy makes me smile more often |
