Default 2006 F4i

Someone I know just bought one and has about 1500 miles on it. I had ridden one the first year they came out, but that was about all for my Honda experience. Well, he let me take for a spin. The bike was not terribly fast, but it was fast enough. The thing that I missed the most about having a sport bike is how smooth they are. This thing just felt very smooth and EXTREMELY light. I felt like I was riding on a cloud compared to my Buell.

The only thing I hated was having to wind the hell out of it to get some power. The Buell constantly has power, no matter what RPM range you're in.

I think I am going to take my time and ride alot of bikes on my next purchase. If I can find a V-twin that has the torque of my Buell, but is close to be as smooth as the inline 4, we will def have a winner.

I think ifd you had cracked the throttle in the upper RPM range you would have found all the speed you could handle.

Honda's have all made that seamless power that was a little deceptive,

I did have it cracked wide open and red lined 1 and 2 gear, I let off for 3rd because my speed was getting up there. Was i missing an additional throttle? LOL I have been riding quite some time now and have ridden much faster bikes. The F4i is only pushing 94hp, which is decent, but the race replicas are cranking out 120+. My Buell has 103hp and ALOT more torque too.

Take a V4 out for a spin if you run across one. RC30, NC30, or
any VFR and you will like it. If you want something you can toss
in the turns look for a nc30/vfr400 just a bit over 400lbs smooth
as silk and who doesn't like the sound of gear driven cams? All,
good things

V-Twin Torque is sweet! I would look at the SV1000.

Is the F4I a good sport bike to carry a passenger?

The two bikes i saw that seemed the best for a periodic ride for two people were the CBR600F4I, and the Suzuki Katana. This being because of the full seat on both bikes. The drag is they are BOTH discontinued. My wife is 130lbs, me at 180.

Which usually means that used ones are cheap. It's funny how quick the squidly public loses interest in a disco model.
