I'm sure plenty of you have already seen this showbike... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...G-Strider2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...G-Strider1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...G-Strider3.jpg I think this is the most awesome thing I've seen in a long while, and I think its very sad that Suzuki is not considering producing this bike. I feel this bike represents the bridging of a huge gap that now exist in the bike world. There seems to me to be three basic groups: cruiser bikes (where everything out there looks like a Harley knock off...is it a crime to still build a bike with exhaust on both sides of the back wheel?) sportbikes (while many of these bikes look menacing in their styling, they dont look at all comfortable to ride for pleasure...not to mention lack of carrying space and even worse seating for a passenger) touring/sport touring (while most of these machines offer many nice features, all of them are big bikes with hefty price tags) If Suzuki cites high sticker price as a reason for not going forward with the G-Strider (thats what I read) then I think they could incorporate much of the styling and features in something similar to the Burgman 650...keep the larger wheels, the twin exhausts (yes!) the engine could be anywhere between 750 and the 900 thats in the showbike and the aggresive looking fairing. The present Burgman 650 instrument panel is already flashy enough for me so I dont see the need for more LCD screens or the fancy carriage type fork set-up...I did a little PaintShopPro picture chop of the two bike to illustrate my ideas...check it out and see what you think. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Strider800.jpg |
