| From what I hear, The Majesty is a bit better, as for the ride, on the highway. The tires are bigger. As for the power they seem simular. Here is a few threads for more info http://burgmanusa.com/ipw-web/bullet...pic.php?t=3054 http://burgmanusa.com/ipw-web/bullet...hlight=majesty From an Owner http://burgmanusa.com/ipw-web/bullet...hlight=majesty Last edited by bat4255; 04-12-2005 at 09:06 AM. |

| I have a Majesty and my wife rides a Burgman 400s. Most of the difference is personal choice. The Majesty sits higher and at 5"11" I can rarely put my feet flat on the ground. The Burgman seat is lower and foot stance is no problem. Another seat issue is that the Burman line has a back rest that pushes you forward to a smaller section of the seat. If you like plenty of seat space, the Majesty is a better choice. The tire size doesn't really seem to make one better than the other so I wouldn't count this a decision maker. It's more a matter of looks. the Majesty is sleek, comfortable, great handling, and plenty of storage. The Burgman has more of the profile of a crotch rocket motorcycle, but still has the storage, overall comfort, and good ride. And if no one has told you this yet, these maxi scooters are expensive to maintain. An oil and filter change is $250 because half the bike has to be taken apart to reach anything.

The 1st service as with any bike, can be spendy. $150-$200 is typical for the 1st service, unless you do it yourself. 1st service is more than oil change, it's a thourgh going over on the bolts and a tappit check(if required). After that, it's the same as on other bikes. If you take it in for every oil change $50 is about right. I do mine myself for about $25 using Synthetic oil AND a filter in about 1/2 hr.. | After you've done it once, and have the tools at hand, the tupperware comes off quickly and easily. These bikes are as easy to maintain as any bike I've ever owned, and there's no chain to clean/oil. I spend much more time maintaining the DR than I ever spent on the AN650. Gear up!

| Sorry to be late responding to this, but I guess it's a matter of location as well. True, the service does include going over the bike with a microscope, but my dealer's service charge is $250 for every service until the first valve adjustment, then it goes up. My Boulevard C50 is only $180 for the first serviceing.
