Default Burgman 400 redline

Just got a new Burgman 400. The tachometer reads to 11,000, but shows no redline. The owner's manual does not give any information about it, either, other than 4,000 rpm max for 600 miles, and then a max of 6,000 rpm until 1,000 miles. What is the recommended redline after break-in period? Is the engine governed to not run past a predetermined rpm?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The 06's have a redline of 8,500 RPM, but you should never hit it, due to the nature of the transmission. It does have a rev limiter. the 4,000 rpm limit for break-in is about 40 mph, Short bursts to 6,000 rpm are not going to hurt it. Top speed when fully broke-in is about 90 mph.
