Angry Don't trust Suzuki

My wife rides a 2005 Burgman 400S. We got the bike last April, and since July, it's been back to the dealer over 20 times for the same problem - won't start when it's been sitting overnight. Our dealer did everything they knew, contacted Suzuki and did what they said, and even had the regional Suzuki tech go over the bike. Bottom line, it still has a defect that can't be fixed. Our dealer agreed that the bike should be replaced. Suzuki's response...FORGET IT. They're attitude about backing their product is, you bought it your're stuck with it.
Because the dealer is straight, I'm confident that they will replace the bike and duke it out with Suzuki. I hope so because I hate bringing lawyers into the picture (nothing personal to any of you who are).
So although I really like my C50, it's the last Suzuki we'll buy. Next one will be a Yamaha.

Sorry, I still have an eye for the busa... but you should probably complain to some 3rd party entity or inquire if your state has a lemon law and proceed from there.

Washington lemon law covers 750cc and up. But I'm not finished yet.

Over the years I've owned bikes from Hodaka, Ossa, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, And Harley Davidson. Now I'm not a big Harley fan, but I can say that they were the only company that didn't give me any grief. Just my own personal experiences

Wow, talk about crap. I'm amazed by the trend with more and more businesses...they preach customer service...but deliver nothing.

Profit margins my dear, it's all about profit margins. Measured quarterly, so nobody thinks long term anymore.

Well here's an update on this saga. After 5+ months of trying to get this taken care of, Suzuki's field tech finally spent the day with the bike, and how about that...he determined there was a manufacturer defect. They're replacing the CPU, wireing harness, sub harness, and temp sensor. They're not sure which is causing the problem so they're just replacing everything it could be. And, Suzuki is coming up with a compensation offer for us. At first it was an offer of an extended warranty, but since we already have one we'll see what the next offer is.
Speak loudly and threaten with a big lawyer. It sometimes works.

Thats good info about the bike. I was going to get my mom one to ride around town and have some fun on but if there is a mfg problem with it then I will look into getting her something different. What I find amazing is that scooters are becoming more and more powerful/faster. Soon people on 600cc bikes are going to be in a race with someone on a scooter..lol just get that image in your head for a second..lol

no.. because i wouldn't ride a scooter even if someone held a gun to my head and told me to ride it. if you're not shifting somethign on 2 wheels with a motor - then youre not riding a motorcycle in my book... it makes me laugh when i see full grown men on scooters filling up at the gas station. or when they try and wave while on the road. I literally laugh out loud haha

I'll wave at anyone who is willing to get on two wheels and brave it out there with the rest of us...Some of these new scooters have more get-up-an-go than some of the bikes people on the forum have...Just because it's not my style, doesn't mean they don't deserve a friendly "How do ya do"

Guess you don't wave at kids on bicycles either, or those that no longer have bodies capable of support a two wheeler, so trike out their gold wing or other bike?

Oh, and that'd be a pretty stupid thing to die over. Somebody holds a gun to my head and says "ride this scooter or you die," well, then I'm riding a scooter.
