Okay Rick...three tanks in a row now that are hitting the 140-145 mile mark before the yellow light comes on.

I'd have to say your winter gas theory holds a bit of weight.

Here's something for you to chew on. Why is it, when I let it idle for a few minutes, and the engine is cold. When I start to take off, it acts like an old muscle car with carbs loaded up?

I don't know how to explain that any better. (We all know I don't have carbs....) It acts like a car with loaded up carbs...If I blow it out, it's fine..then when the bike is hot...no problems....

Spark plug problem? Plug rated too hot? Or too cold?

I have read just about every mag article on the uly. I have not heard very many good things about it. Everyone loves the open road and the twisties. It pretty much stops there. The fan noise, the heat, the stalling, the brakes, can't find neutral after warm up. This is only what i read. No personal experience. Good luck my friend i hope it works out for you. But what i read about the Uly is enough to keep me away.
