I think it's a slightly positive sign they were willing to admit a lack of ability and had some one more experienced do the work. Slightly

I am thniking it is like the Harley commercials..... "It's all about attitude." Like the attitude you get from spending countless hours worshipping the Harley merchandise while waiting for the repairs to be done on the bike. Just kidding,,, well hopefully they will get it squared away. One question to think about is how wide of range will the new mapping be for changes in climate and altitude? It may be great for the Tampa area but what if you decide to go to,, God forbid,, the mountains fo North Georgia??? Will the new mapping parameters be able to adjust for that?

| You are indeed correct sir....... And to be clear. It's not that I strive to perfect the art of being an ash-hole. It's just something I do par excellence in an offhanded way. One could say, I was born to be an ash-hole. Quote:

I've been told it's pretty strong and amazing, but so far, from what I've seen. It don't hold a candle to the Suzi 32 bit Gixxer ECM. That thing could make decisions and adjustments so smoothly on the fly, that most of you don't even know how good you have it until you try something else. One thing I was told was the O2 sensor (coupled with open loop and closed loop operation of the ECM, and the fact that it's air-cooled. Water cooled makes a big difference because the engine is always the same temp, and the O2 sensor is another obstacle to just snapping in a Power Commander or like device and having it work properly. Yes they do work.......successfully on some and not so much on others.

Okay, Just curious how is everything going so far ? How many miles on the bike, how is it running, any other problems ? I am drawling about the XB9s City bike but I am holding due to stories like yours.... I went to the local dealer and was treated like pupu so I left... It was a skinny 6'5 dude full of tatoos and front bald with a pony tell and his attitute told me he did not care to sell me anything... I have already own a SV650, so I am looking for something similar but I want to buy american, the country has been wonderful to me and I try to support as much as I can't, but Buells are very over priced and the treatment I got just completely turned me off... Those Guys are the Suzuki Ocola Motor Sports on the other hand will bend backwards just to get your business and really treat you well so that you are happy with the purchase... So far I have gotten two new bikes from them, and I will not settle for anything less when it comes to treatment from a dealer... But, still, I am curious about the bike....

The service guys were apologetic that it took so long. There was a gaffe with my handguards that made me late getting back to work, but it's all good. SVTEAL give Gainesville Harley a shot. They are a very Buell friendly dealer. One thing you can do, is call ahead. Ask to speak to the sales manager. Query him/her on who is the most knowledgeable/best Buell salesperson. Speak with that person, and make an appointment to see that person, and ride a bike. You'll enjoy it. I rode my bike all weekend, and loved the hell out of it. The map they created (which I ruined Sunday The manual recommends not using your Buell to just fire up, hop and, and run to the corner market. I kinda did Saturday afternoon, but it was just one stop on a long series of stops. The bike ran like crap afterward. Before everybody gets in an uproar. It learns. So when I shut it down, and restarted, the last thing it knew was a lean condition after barely warming up, and was trying to apply that to the map. Sunday...it had minor stumbles and hitches on steady throttle. The way to fix it is just get the rpms in between 3500 and 4000 for three to five minutes and it resets the AFV, and "learns". I did it this morning on the way in to the office. The bike runs fine again.

It learns!?!? next thing you know it is going to be riding you... j/k I test drove a lightning TT Saturday. Seemed like it just needs a good warm up. They pulled it out of the shop, drove around the lot, and parked for me to get on and take off. It ran a little hesitant for a minute or so, but then it smoothed out and ran great. I NEEEED Buell! Glad to hear that pipe is working out for ya. The info on their website is making me very curious. Sounds like a sweet deal. Enjoy and keep us posted on the mapping.

Kevin (the owner) is just one awesome individual to work with. I e-mailed him some concerns and he sent me back his cell phone number. He gave me all sorts of technical advice, support, and whatnot. One great guy that takes pride in what he does. The epitome of American owned and operated business too. The salt of the earth. One of the best people a person could ever do business with. I called him Friday, and told him what route (fuel delivery) I went with. He was generally interested in what I had to say, and shared my enthusiasm. Especially, when I was excited as all hell about the shape of the torque curve. Seems that he and I share the same views about rideable torque, and unrealistic torque. I can't say enough good things about him.

As long as it's thoroughly warmed up. You'd be fine.

I was wondering about the same thing. That is about the drive that I have.

| Want's A New Title ![]() | What's thoroughly warmed up though? I'm so spoiled with the M50 I don't even fire it up in the garage any more. Gear up, and fire it up as I roll down the driveway. It idles just long enough for me to close the garage and get my gloves on. I'm still going to test ride one next year when it's time to check out new rides.

I just waited for the idle to settle down and off I went on the M. The situation I'm talking about. I just fired the bike up jumped on it, and went three blocks, and shut it off. Jumped back on fired it up, and went 1/2 a mile, then shut if off. Jumped back on again, fired it up, went across the street, and shut it down again. As I've learned. It's a sophisticated system, but IMHO it doesn't hold a candle to the Suzuki fuel delivery system.

I'm just saying the Suzi's are more adept in their wake up procedures (for lack of a better term.).
