Has your riding style changed?? Perhaps somewhat more aggressive?

Maybe a little but not enough that I'd expect tire life to be reduced by half!

Maybe time for the darkside?

I'll admit I have considered it.

I'm ready, I'm prepared, but my insurance company isn't, so back to the overpriced MC tires.

New tire going on this weekend.

Wow, that looks a lot like mine:

That was a Kenda brand tire - damned thing barely lasted me 5K miles.

Wow! That thing is so squared off, it looks like a car tire almost. Maybe you should try going to the darkside. Might work perfect for you.

That was why I considered the Darkside myself until my insurance company wouldn't cover it.

The guy who changed my tires today said the wear looks like under inflation and suggested 44 on the rear and 42 on the front, especially since I ride 2 up 90% of the time.
His comment about the C109 and M109 were that "with passengers, those bikes eat tires fast, since they have so much power and weight"

Default OEM Tires?

Hello all,

I am curious how you all feel about the OEM tires?
I had to replace my back tire at almost 13000 miles, and the front tire at 21000 miles. The OEM tires that came on my '07 C50T were from IRC?

OEM tires are usually more expensive and don't last as long as a good aftermarket. I sure wish I could get 13,000 miles out of a back tire on my sport bike.

Thanks for the quick reply. Who would be the most reliable sorce to recommend a particular tire brand and model for an aftermarket tire?

If you do a search on tires, there are many discussions on the forum on tires. I don't own a cruiser, so, I really cannot recommend one myself. Maybe someone will be along shortly that can help more. But do try the search also.

That's not too bad in my opinion. On my O7 C50T I only got 7500 on the rear.
That's also what I got on my 08 C109RT till I went DS.

It's not hard to tell from the look of that tire that 98% of your riding is 2 up. You have very little wear on the sides of your tire at all. My advice to you would be to either go to the DS or leave the mrs home a little more and get into some fun cornering. Make no mistake about it, this bike handles really well cornering at speed. I've worn the drag nuts completely on my floorboards. I would like to add that the owner of the insurance company I deal with told me that unless it specifically states in your insurance contract that you cannot put a car tire on your bike that you would still be covered.

Cheers!

I get into as much fun cornering without the Mrs as I do with her.
There are only so many twisties unfortunately.
