That was 21,000 km

Front just hit the wear bar

That's the funny thing.
Gary (GMan) and I were emailing back and forth today about it too.

85% of my riding is highway touring, not heavy cornering and NOT driving like an idiot. I just don't do it and since I've got a passenger 98% of the time, I'm not cornering heavy or terribly fast either (which explains how little wear there is on the sides of the tire).

Hell, I got 80,000 km out of my factory set of tires on the truck too and amazed the tire techs!

I ordered a set for mine today. Then I'll be ready when I need them and won't have to wait.

If you plan to buy a set of tires to keep on hand, store them laying flat under the bed or someplace like that,
and uv exposure, don't forget about that one.

since any tire will "crack" after sufficient exposure to the sun.

which is why you see all those trailers with goofy plastic covers over the tires.

Mine won't be laying around for long. They will be mounted within the a month the way thing are going.
I'll see what I get mine for. My guy usually gives me a good discount. And I mount my own tires.

I changed tires at Wal-Mart of a number of years, and it always surprised me how often people would come in with tires showing belts...

Interesting......

Second rear tire is down to the wear bars after 10,000 km.
Same brand and model tire and got less than 1/2 the mileage from this one.

Weird
