Default atv oil in a m50?

Hello all. First post and first motorcycle owner of a Boulevard m50.

I'm new to bikes and have a lot of learning to do. The dealer sold me some atv 4 cycle 10w40.

Will this do? Thanks

Same thing happened to me. Fortunately I noticed it before I paid the cashier, so I went back and got the motorcycle oil. They must make 2 different oils for a reason. I wouldn't use the ATV stuff.

See the M50 manual here. It should help you out with your question. You can meet many M50 riders here also.

Enjoy your new ride.

They make two different oils so that they can call them "special" and charge you more. It's probably identical.
