Default Have you ever noticed?

Random thoughts

1) Chicks on crotch rockets always have BIG booties. HOT!

and
2) Guys on choppers 9 out of 10 times are wearing shorts and a tank top.

No, I have not noticed this- my friends with choppers generally ride in jeans. But on the way to the office today I saw a guy on a sport bike in shorts, sneakers, no socks, and no shirt. Idiot. His passenger was, well....umm.....fat.

Can't say I have but a fair amount of gym shoes, some amount of shorts and like 90% T-shirts. And this is sport bikes, harley's and metric cruisers. I know a lot of people here go on about the gear but it doesn't seem to carry over to the majority on the streets.

Going to have to watch for the chicks on crotch rockets.

I've seen quite a few that fit into category number 2.

I also noticed when I went to school (near Iowa) that people in Dubuque would park on the wrong side of the street. And by that I mean "hey, there's a parking space on the other side of the street, let's pull in."

And they would. Weird thing seeing cars parked facing the wrong direction.

I actually saw a guy with no shirt, no helmet wearing sandles and no eye wear (no goggles, glasses, nothing!!!) riding a sport bike in the middle of rush hour traffic. In Jacksonville that is illegal as anything. Actually I thought it was illegal everywhere. I'm shocked that he didn't get pulled over by the police.

i will wear the brain bucket when it is cold or at night. otherwise it is jeans and a t-shirt and sun glasses. maybe not the safest but the way some people drive their cars riding in a tank is not safe either.

About the only thing that's a universal law is eye protection. Other than that, here in Missouri, if you're wearing your helmet and eye protection, they could care less if you ride in your underwear.

it would be bad because of the meat processing plant.

imagine if you will, in the not so distant past............

You're driving down highway 151 from Wisconsin into Iowa, and the first thing you smell as you cross the river on the bridge is a meat processing plant.

Then, it gets better, you drive through this maze which runs in between the various processing plants.

Talk about your impressive intros.

btw, if you're in Cedar rapids now, how badly does the river normally flood in spring anyway?

Davy believe it or not here in Jax, glasses are the only required artical of clothing for motorcycling you have to wear.

I have noticed most girls on the back of sport bikes are good looking. Their looks are dircectly propotional to the guy they are with though. Better sportbike, he makes more money, shes prettier. Dude doesn't look so good, his lady follows suit.

So what do most of you wear? I'm looking at getting my first bike, an M50, and I'm going to get a jacket and make my wife do the same to ride on the back.

Tim, I gottcha. I know there weren't any restrictions on clothing but just thought it was crazy that this guy didn't have eyewear which is a big no no in the eyes of the law.

it seems that most people around here ride with full or almost full gear (jacket, jeans, boots, helmet, gloves...)
chicks on bikes are hot. doesn't have to be a crotch rocket

now with the heat around here, i see a lot more just wearing no jacket, but they have the rest of the gear...

Haven't seen any chicks on crotch rockets, but saw one on a cruiser last week wearing jeans, sneakers, t-shirt, Oakleys, and one of these..

Had to do a double take just to be sure!

Not quite. Here in NC, there is a helmet law, but no requirement for eye protection. In MA, where I used to live, you're only required to wear eye protection when riding on a permit, as apparently when you get your license your eyes become invincible! I still think Michigan is the best though, where eye protection is only required over 35mph, cuz a rock in the eye at 30mph is really no big deal.

Around here I see a LOT of guys riding bikes in a t shirt, a tank top, or no shirt at all, regardless of what kind of bike they're on. I actually got passed by a guy on a Busa last week wearing racing leathers for pants and boots, a full face helmet, gloves, and no shirt at all. I was doing about 70, and I swear he passed me going no less than 100mph, when I saw he had no shirt, I cringed at the thought of it. Theres also a local girl who rides a Busa who has the license plate "RYD TPLS" (which she'll happily translate for you into Ride Topless if you ask her. Yet she wears FULL race leathers (in pink). As for the booty, she prolly weighs 110 sopping wet.
