I made the custom driver backrest bracket myself.

I'll trade you my engine guard for the backrest!

I tried to add pegs to it but the factory engine guard is too narrow and didn't allow anywhere comfortable to put pegs.
I have the passenger boards as well - modified the Kuryakyn ones from my Shadow to work on the C109 with a different adapter.

Well done!

Thanks Don,
I had the factory engine guard on my C50T and I decided to wait with this one until some wider ones came out. I am kinda waiting to see what Gary comes up with on some passenger boards. I have been keeping an eye on his blog.
I might be able to come up with another backrest bracket for you while the snow is on the ground.

Cobra has a set of wider freeway bars for the C109 already
They look pretty good.

The Kuryakyn passenger boards work well and it was ALOT cheaper than the $300 that Suzuki wants for theirs.

I'm looking for the Fatty Freeway bars from Cobra but the places that I have checked list them but don't have them in stock yet.
I would like to move the passenger boards ahead and down and I am kinda waiting till after I put on pipes to see how low I can go.

Lowering the pipes would be nice and would allow for larger saddlebags.
That's still the only major problem I have with that unit is how small the bags are. Even the C90 has larger stock bags.

Now to compare it to the Nomad with the hard bags, at least leather stretches and I'm positive that you can cram more in the 109's bags than a Nomad can carry.

Where did you get your windshield pouch?
I'd like one, but not sure if I want to give up the space between the handlebars and the windshield since I currently use that to carry my slurpee

I am also DYING for a chrome rad cover.
All the chrome they put on that bike stock and they leave a big ugly BLACK rad cover.

Twixer, any chance of a sideways shot of those bars? I like the look of them, I would like to see how much further aft the hand position will be.

Buster..Hope this shot helps. They are Harley Road king hi rise pull back bars #55954-00. They were $55 at the Harley shop. All the original wires and cables fit. I did remove the locater tips from the brackets. The Harley knurl is a little narrower and shows between the risers. My fix was a leather wrap between the risers...LOL They are a lot more comfortsble than the stock bars. They seem to place your arms in a natural position.

I just checked their web site and they list some for the M109 but not anything for the C109.

Yeah, currently it's just Cobra who makes them.
