Default Clip on Vs Bolt on

The fully cloth picture is the origional bolt on back rest with brackets and saddle bag, bout 15 mins to take off, The naked picture is my modified clip on saddle bag brackets for the K7 saddle bags use on the C50T. Modifying the brackets requires adding a plate from the backrest bracket so the saddle bag brackets can be attached. Chers

I've got money down on a black C109RT in Sacramento, CA. No one can tell me when they are going to arrive. Anywhere from 1 week to 30 days to next year. Can anyone enlighten me?

Default Accessorie Problems

Hi Dud, my understanding is most of these bikes (RT) are in Suzuki warehouses in most Country, their problem is accessories volumes, I have always brought my Boulevard from one dealer, so i have a good relationship with the ower, when i brought my RT it started without the accessories (could be an option), only part i'm waiting for is top rear back rest top cushion, i have a modified one i use from my M109R at the moment. Suzuki NZ here is throwing in a set of drivers lights with the bike. Hopfully that helps. Cher

Hi All,

I started a fairly lengthy thread a couple of weeks ago seeking advice on whether or not a novice rider like myself should consider trading up my C50 to the 109. Still undecided. What did you guys move into the niner from?

Hello,

I just picked up a 109RT 3 weeks ago and have been nothing but impressed. Amazingly comfortable and FAST ride.
As I'm sure has been said in this forum already, the only disappointment is that Suzuki does not have any accessories available and neither Cobra or Kuryakyn have anything made yet.
It's a good thing it comes almost completely dressed. All I need are the luggage rack, chrome rad cover and the light bar they are supposed to come with in Canada.

Loki ca, Check out Hard Krome web site for pipes on the C109RT. I hear they are very nice pipes that are 100% shielded and are guaranteed not to blue.

Congrats Loki ca! I'm in Calgary too so I'm sure you got your niner at one of the three local dealerships I was looking at. Would you mind telling me which one and how you were treated? I've put off my purchase until at least the end of the season. I took one out for a test ride and absolutely loved it! I'm going to see if Suzuki comes through with any more rebates at year end as I found it difficult to afford. Good on you!

Now that's a picture of a happy family. Congrats on your new ride!

Is that a sheep skin? Gotta get one for the C50.

Yes, it's a double length sheepskin

We found the factory seat to be pretty uncomfortable and not sure whether it's just needing to be broken in, or whether it's just the way it's made. Nice and wide, but when we ride, it's typically 300-400miles a day.

The sheepskin was $170 - money well spent. Still not as comfortable as we'd like it to be, but much better. Mustang and Corbin don't make anything for it yet.

Had it three weeks already and have already but 2000 mi on it.

Halford,

If you want some info, feel free to give me a call.
Calgary of course, 938-6224

Bought it at Blackfoot, salesperson is great. Suzuki's aftermarket support isn't anything to write home about and I'd NEVER recommend Blackfoot for after sales service, but for the sale, it was good.
They're selling for 17999 now.
We paid 17,000.00 including all the after sales crap and it's the last year Suzuki's apparently giving the 24 month warranty.

As far as the rebates go, they're selling fast and when I talked to a salesperson at Healy, he said he doesn't expect any rebates to push them at the end of the season since the odds are good they won't have any left. Could have been a sales pitch, probably was, but ever since I saw them and started reading all of the magazine reviews, I wanted one, so didn't want to take the chance of not getting one.

Unlike you guys, my riding is fairly limited to early morning/late evening blasts up the Trans-Canada, taking a few side streets and returning home to the west end of Calgary. I ride into work, though I'm on vacation til September. So why do I "need" a 109? I don't...just want one really bad. Also, contrary to your tastes, I like the naked look of the Boulevard series. I know I'll have to slap something on mine when I begin doing real touring, but for now I like 'em buck! Anyway, the stripped C109R is now available in Calgary for $13,200 and hopefully dropping more. Good luck. I may call you.

We ride 2 up all the time, mostly through the mountains, so the bigger bike was necessary for me. I'm not a speed freak so if I was riding solo all the time the C109 wouldn't have appealed to me as much. After having bought my last bike nekkid and adding a thousand bucks between engine guard, pegs, saddlebags, floorboards, chrome, chrome and more chrome - it's nice to have almost everything already there. The saddlebags through Suzuki are worth 700 bucks alone!

Try my cell instead, usually reachable through there. 519-9988.
Anytime you want to get our for a ride, I belong to a small group who usually ride together. A bunch of great guys, very knowledgeable and friendly. Laid back, not out to break speed records, just enjoy the ride.

Hello Don,

Because I don't have a passenger seat I need a single sheepskin (unless my sweetheart wants one for her C50), in any event guess it will cost $100+.

Also thanks for the tips on Blackfoot. Have their website bookmarked, I go check the deals every now and then. In fact, I keep forwarding some of the specials to my friend to convert him back to a cruiser.

Say we bought a bike in AB and ride it to B.C. do you know how to register/insure the bike for the trip home. Since you guys have only one-tax, do we pay the PST in B.C.

Cheers,

Elvis
