Default 2002 Intruder

I have a 2002 Suzuki Intruder 800. I have been trying to start it. It turns over but will not start. I tried to warm it up buy putting a heater in the shead where it is stored but still will not start. Now before I put it away I changed the oil and filter but could no get any 10W 40 oil , So i used the next weight up. Would this cause a problem in it starting? I read somewhere that it might? Should I change the oil and use 10w 40?

Here is the link to the oild question I asked before..... http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...-question.html
