Default Happy 4th of July 2007

Just want to wish everyone a very happy day on this great day where a great country was born...

Today was a complaining day for me, I order some parts for the bike and some were delivered, others were delayed, I wasn't too happy with the quality of the parts that I received today, the wife and I had planned to spend the day at the beach, but it rain all day, all in all, a very suky day....

But, we did go out to watch the fireworks at the town of ALACHUA and in my way back home I got to reflect on life as a whole... We should learn to appreciate more and complain less, life is wonderful... specially in this great country of ours...

There I was, with a 1/2 gallon of ICE Tea from Hitchcox suppermarket, a bag bull of McDonalds cheeseburgers and fries, parked on an empty field, sitting on the back of the truck, with the wife, son and dog listening to some good Merengue Music. Then the fireworks arrived, and I said, God blessed this country, and thank you for allowing me to be here today celebrating on this 4th of July.

For all of you, I hope you had a chance to feel good about this country today. Sometimes the government let us down, sometimes we don't agree with the way we are running this country, but we still have to belive and have good faith that we do have a good heart, that we are good people and goodness will prevail in the end. Lets be proud...!

This is from a recent imigrant, someone who speaks a broken english with a very thick accent, someone who arrived here 10 year ego, someone who tries hard to be the best citizen that I could possible can be. God bless this country, forever and ever, Amen!
