Default Pricing on 2005 S83

Hello all,
I may be purchasing this cycle. I currently own a beautiful 1991 VFR and love it but I think it's time for the cruiser. I don't like the big fat cruisers but the S83 has a style that just gets me. And I figured the 1400 would do the 2-up thing just fine. My question is this:
A dealer here has two 2005s at about $7000 USD plus our CDN 14% taxes of course. These are NEW cycles. Is that an awesome price? The dealer says it's below cost and they want to move them. I am thinking that next year (2007) I'll be able to drive a 2005 out of my garage with ZERO miles on it and be ahead of the game already...if I ever (hope not of course) have to sell the cycle. Please help?

That's about $6190 US, which is a fine deal.

Hello....read my post again...the $7000 was in USD. They want $7499 CDN plus the $500 freight and whatever. So $7999 CDN is approx $7000USD.

For a new S83, that sounds reasonable. I bought a used 2005 S83 for $5400 (USD) last summer. It had around 9000 miles on it.

As for 2-up riding, I find it a little cramped. I'm 5'9" and my wife is 5'7". Will they let you test ride it? My dealer let me take it out solo, and then again with my wife on it. On a 5-mile test ride, it seemed fine, but when we take it out for an hour or two, is when I wish it was a little larger.

It has plenty of mid-range power for 2-up riding, however.

Oh, sorry, I read it wrong. $7000 US is NOT at all good deal on a left over 2005.
