| It's a pretty nice bike. Here are the F800S and F800ST. A friend of mine will be getting one shortly, I'll post more info when I get it.

| tempting, but - I just can't get beyond a serious mistrust of belts. Back at my rider training course, they rolled out a belt driven Harley so illustrate a point they were trying to make. Someone started it up, and - the belt broke.

| I read the article in one of the rags last week. Great bike. But 10K for a "starter" bike as they called it!!???

| Refrigerator Magnet Test Engineer ![]() | I would consider it more of an entry level into the BMW "family" bike than a starter bike. Like the BMW 1 series or Audia A3 cars.

I sat on one two days ago. The F800S has better looking handle bars whilst the ST have sort of retro looking handle bars. But i don't know whether they matter or not. I was made to undertsand that the F800s are for zipping here and there whilst the ST are for touring. The sitting position confirms that. I was told that a naked 800cc shud be plodding along anytime now. | |

| At 85 HP I would not consider the F800 a starter bike the same way that I would not consider the H D Sportster 1200 a starter bike although either one could be used as such.

| I see this BMW as strong competition to the new Triumphs Bonnevilles. This BMW, I believe is cheaper and probably a better motorcycle all around. I own a T100, they are not cheap and there are flaws that you probably will not find on the new BMW's. I'm gonna look at these BMW's. I hear there's a new BMW dealer now in Kelowna BC. They also sell Benelli, Triumphs and Ducati. Saves a trip to Vancouver for me! I don't classify this BMW as a "starters" motorcycle. Last edited by Adriaan; 11-24-2007 at 10:44 PM. |

| BMW motorcycle is truly an amazing brand...it's trusted brand with real high quality engines among others....and so my brother is like spending less on everything and sometimes he no longer eats just to save money for his dream BMW Motorcycle ....I can't blame him because BMW is BMW....your motorcycle is kind of less attractive to women I know if it's not BMW Motorcycle |
