| Anyone ride (or rode) a BMW 1200 Cruiser? Maybe a Montauk? 1200c? I have a C50 & am curious to know how it rides compared to a BMW cruiser? Anyone have any input? Bueller? Bueller? j/k!

| I haven't ridden the Montauk but I've looked at it. It's an odd cruiser. BMW took their Telelevier front end, ABS, the boxer motor, shaft drive, these things that are pretty standard on the regular BMW line and put them on a cruiser. If you're really interested visit a BMW dealership and ride one. BMW dealers (as far as I know) all allow test rides so you don't need to sit around wondering if its a good bike, you can just ride it and find out

| One of my coworkers has that bike. It's a nice looking ride, tho I've never had the chance to ride one. I know that my local dealer is getting requests all the time for them...

| I fitted a sissy bar to stop the missus from falling off the back, front and rear comfort seats, engine bars and some rails to take panniers.I can`t find any suitable panniers so far. The screen is tall enough to protect from the wind (I`m six feet) at a steady 90 mph. The model previous model to this one was called the`Independent` it had lots of problems which BMW seem to have now sorted out on this model. That bike had very high handlebars, only one front light and spoked wheels instead of alloy wheels. The side panels were missing and the bike had an unfinished look about it.It was featured in a James Bond movie. So far my experience has been good and the bikes due it`s first 6,000 mile service.I`ll wait untill spring for that as the bikes in mothballs for the winter. |

on I-64 w/o any difficulty!). With the comforts of the electric adjustable windshield, heated seats/grips and vented cowlings, I can see this will be a great addition for long distance cruising to anyone's stable! I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on one instead of a Wing next year....they're about the same price Take the test ride offer from the dealership and you'll be sold! Good luck on not buying one....
