| Just started looing at this bike. At 163hp and almost 80ft-lbs of torque, this is a freakin' monster. I am reading reviews that say the long wheel base isn't a big deal due to the advancements of other handleing technologies put on this bike too. This puppy makes the Speed triple look like grandma's new ride. |

| One of my riding buddies just bought a K1200S: ![]() He let me sit on it and it has a surprisingly nimble feel. The center of gravity is really low, like cruiser low, incredible bike.

| Correction, I just read that the bike has a whopping 94ft-lbs of torque! St0nk, how does he like it? I am sure he love it. I read an review of the R and they were complaining that the steering dampener wasn't working very well. They replaced it with another stock one and it still wasn't working, but they never had a problem on the S, so they weren't sure what's wrong with it. |

| The only thing I am afraid of is that really long wheel base. I am sure that helps with straight line acceleration and controlling the bike, but for turning, the suspension, tires and other things will hopefully make up for it. I have already decided that if I can test ride one and I like it, it will be my next bike. Maybe in a year and a half. |

| One of the instructors of my ERC (Experienced Rider Course) has a K1200S. You should see how he handles the beast. The wheelbase doesn't seem an issue at all!
