|  Need starter bike for son - Knoxville, TN area Hey guys- So glad I found this forum. It has been loaded with useful information!! Thank you all so much for sharing your genius! Anyway, I am looking for a good "starter" bike for my son who is almost 16. He's a big kid like 6-1 and 200lbs. He has justed started a job and needs reliable transportation. I am a single mom so money is kind of tight. Not looking for a hand out, just something reasonable. Please contact me if you have a bike you are looking to sell. | Try the 650 Savage, I am unsure what Suzuki calls it now, I think it is the S50. Great bike. Affordable, especially when you get one used. Quick and Agile, good on gas, small enough to learn on and use for commuting. My wife rode one for years and then upgraded to a 1400 intruder. Your son will love it.
