Default My First Problem with the C109RT

I noticed a week ago that I had a few drops of oil on the kickstand. Checked it out and it looks like the driveshaft seal on the tranny is leakinig. Called the dealer this morning and he said to drop it off tonight after work. They will be looking at it first thing tomorrow. We'll see how long it takes them to fix this.

Wish you luck there. Also glad it was on the kickstand and not on the tire.

Got the 109 back after work on tuesday. Didn't have to sign a thing, and the bike was all washed and cleaned up. I had put 430 miles on the day before I brought it in and a third of that was in the rain.
The dealer owner asked if that was an aftermarket horn I had mounted. He spied the Stebel. So he fired it up and blew the horn right in the shop. I think he was impressed.
So far I have been pretty satisfied with this dealer.

Could you give me the name of your dealer? My dealer in Chippewa Falls is not too good.

were you able to see where it came from without taking anything apart?

I saw two oily spots on mine but don't see anything leaking.

I've only had mine a few days. I suppose it could have come from the shop when they prepped it.

If you follow where the drive shaft enters the transmission, there is a rubber boot that it was leaking out of. You may have to take a couple smaller covers off right above where the kickstand is when it is folded up. Just pull back the rubber boot and it should be dry.
