From what I recall they used a heavier duty plug from the RR to the stator, apparently this was a probably cause for stator failure. Plug gets hot, melts and no juice. Another suspect that has not been remedied is that the RR is still inclosed within the left bulbous cover. Little or no air flow at stops and slower speeds. Many bikes have the RR external like in front of the battery box. I think it also went from a 2 pin to a 3 pin plug, and better insulation on the stator. It seems that almost all the stator failures were on the 12 o'clock post.

I'm sorry I took so long. I had a Matazua with the lights off of ebay. I really liked the lights but the trunk wass a POS. I could not get it to latch without shaking over every little bump.

there is another on ebay that is about the same price, withour lights but with a nicer backrest and optional luggage rack. I have that and am happy. Around $140.00

No I was just having a senior moment. I had already answered a while back but forgot. I tell my kids that I don't have althimers but I do have sometimers.
