The LC 1500 and C90's have a collector box that is mounted in front of the rear tire. If you look you will see the pipes actually go into this box then back out into the mufflers. Most have found that that it is simply not worth the hassle to remove the baffles on the LC's and just replace the pipes and loose the collector box. Yu will save a considerable amount of weight too. The C50's are easier to de-baffle and the process is more straight forward.

that was one of the reasons i asked, i know i have the collector, which to me seems like that would be the "muffler", i just want to know if anyone has done it and the results.
I dont have the bike bucks to do a new pipe set up. by my calcs, pipes, 5-6 hundred, 125 for the jet kit and then to make sure it is right, have the shop do it and make all the right adjustments. im looking at 1K easy, i ride everyday so do have the luxury of having it sit in the garage while i try to figure it out, i could, but dont have the time.

Yeah don't do it. The bottom pipe is different than the upper one. You get the top baffle removed only to find it will not work on the bottom as a few on here have done. Invest on some aftermarket pipes and if there is a Thundermonster available for the pipes you are looking for then install one of those as well.
