| And she sends a message loud and clear. Well I got my Cobra Speedster Slashdowns in and on today. When I de-baffled her she spoke with a little more authority but still a little timid. First taking off the stock pipes; only an engineer could make it that complicated. 4 head bolts 5 rear support bolts, 5 bolts to connect the pipes to the Catalytic Converter, 2 bolts to remove the Catalytic Converter after removing the cover for the Voltage regulator, 4 hose clamps for the heat shields. And you have to do it in a certain order. Ok out with the old and in with the new. The pipes came with everything but the manifold gaskets. It even includes a bracket to relocate the Voltage Regulator. The installation instructions were clear and concise. The fitment is perfect. The only issue I had was I tightened the heat shield down before I put on the tips so I had to loosen them up to get them on right. I like the clean look. Double checked all the bolts, turn the key, and hit the starter. It was at this point that I had seriously miscalculated how much of a voice M had once her muzzle was removed. I didn’t even have to crack the throttle and everyone in the house was in the garage. When I did crack the throttle they all ran back in the house. She doesn’t just yell she roars. First impressions; First my neighbors are going to hate me when I leave the house at 5:45am even lugging it is still loud. Second, the bike is noticeably quicker and I haven’t even adjusted the FI Controller. Third, it defiantly vibrates more. Can someone please explain why? Anyone know where I can get some quieter baffles? |
