I dunno,,, the LC I have has the Mustang Seats for front and rear passenger, floor boards for both, backrests for both, and with the addition of the buttbuffer pads,, it would be hard to beat that setup. Not to mention the space and room we have on the LC.

Well Saturday (April 8th) was officially the 4 week mark of my bike being held hostage by Suzuki. Dang thing is paid for and I cannot even ride it. Suzuki really screwed the pooch on this one.

Oh well,, maybe by the end of the riding season I will get it back.

I think I will call them again to get lied to once more.

Well I just got off the phone with them. Seems they got a shipment in and they dispersed them already. Hmmmm,,, if I was put to the top of the list then where 'O where has my gas tank gone??? Oh where 'O where could it be????

So I saved his name and phone number to my cell phone for speed dial purposes. He said that he will call and find out where my tank is and why I did not receive it. Let's see what he says this time.

Have you had to contact "Peter" for all your Butt-Buffing needs relating to the Wee-Strom?

Well imagine that,, he never called me back (the guy with Suzuki America). But that is ok,, I have his number on speed dial now. With free nights and weekends with unlimited long distance he will be in my network.

Yup, they told my friend Gary the same thing: 'we'll put you at the top of the list', but he didn't get a tank either.

After three Suzukis, and 5 happy years with the 1500LC, they finally pissed him off enough: He's going up today to look at a Harley Road King.

Well,,, I don't want another payment. I want my bike and I am going to call that guy again today. Then if there is no "Good" answer from him I am going to call the dealer and tell him to JB weld my tank back and then call me when the other one gets here.

The dealer said at one time that he had to send off my tank,, well he needs to find one to replace it.

Give 'em hell! They need to get you back on the road, one way or another. Several folks I know just had them put the bike back together, figuring it was leaking BEFORE so what is the difference now that they know about it?

I had a similar experience waiting for a part on an Intruder 800 back in 1996, and I finally raised enough hell that they took one off a new bike in the showroom to get me back on the road. Unfortunately, the C90 and 1500LC tanks are different so that isn't an option here. I feel bad for the dealers, who have to have this same conversation 20 times a day because they can't get the parts from Japan.

Well I talked to him (the guy from Suzuki America) and he said that they are expecting some more tanks this week or next. So he said that he would assure me that I will get the first tank that comes in. He said he will call me or I can call him in a week.

We shall see. I asked him what am I looking at,, another week, two weeks, a month or what. He said about a week or two and I should have my bike back but he doesn't want to promise me anything until they get them in their hands. Oh well. The option of putting the bike back together is not going to work they said.

If I do not hear something by the end of next week then they will be putting it back together.

it's ashame that w/ this problem about the tank and making new ones, that they can't add 2 gallons to the size; then I would be sure ti upgrade from the vol.

You know,, that is an idea. But all they are going to do is replace the tanks that are bad and then put new cushions on it. If the tank isn't leaking then they get cushions only.

Oh well,, went by there Saturday to check out my bike. There it is sitting back in a warehouse with a bunch of other bikes and 4-wheelers. Half tore apart and looking quite pathetic. Kind of reminds you of a wounded dog.

Maybe I will get to ride my bike sometime before next riding season.

Well here we go. I called Suzuki today. Talked to them and he said "Funny you should call." Huh??? What do you mean funny I should call,, that is NEVER a good premise to a conversation. He said that they are in the process of working on a fix.

I asked him what do you mean a fix?? I thought the fix was exchanging the gas tanks for the cracked ones and the ones that were not cracked adding padding. What do you mean a fix????

he said that he could not tell me right now what "The Fix" is but he could tell me next week. He said that I should be very happy with the fix and will make alot of people happy. I asked him,,"What,, are you guys buying my bike back?"

He said no but we have a good fix on the way that they cannot release the details of it right now,, but everyone will be very happy.

What is the fix???? I asked him again,, is it a revised gas tank design that will allow more fuel and not leak??? is it a plastic tank or something???

Still the answer from him was that if I could just be patient that he would call me next week with the details of the fix and I would be "Very Happy" with it. ERRrrrrrrr...... I want my bike back and I want to know what the fix is.

Well I called Suzuki customer care number today,, he told me that they still can not tell me the "Fix" yet. EEERRRRRRRRrrrrrrr. I told him if my bike was not going to be ready by this weekend to call the dealership and have them put some epoxy or JBweld on the crack to patch it up and I would sign the waiver to take my chances.

Then when the part or the 'Fix" comes in I would bring it back up there. 42 days in the shop so far. That is not counting the 23 days that I didn't ride it before I took it there because I was told not to by the dealer. So 65 days of not being able to enjoy my bike because of this recall. That is 9,, almost 10 weeks!!!!!

So I told him I need it back by Friday. I have alot of riding to do in order to get re-familiar with the bike before I hit the Dragon. Total B/S that they cannot tell me what their fix is that will make me sooooo Happy,,,, sounds like a crock to me.
