Stumbled across this sight looking for Bandit mod info. Want to learn from others experiences, so I can make the most of my budget bike. Basic intake / exhaust mods yielded a completely new animal...Tame, but with big teeth to match the bark. I am having lots of fun! New brake pads just increased the fun. So far I have $3300 invested (counting: cost, reg, tax, yosh pipe<ebay>, jets, shims, brakes, braided rear line <ebay>, race tech frt. springs <ebay> and oil+filter. Not bad....can I keep it under $3500???

Next, I am looking at rear shock swap <busa unit and link mod...yeah ebay!!!>, lower the gearing to move rear wheel forward and increase drive. Oh and I have to drill the slots for a little advance +1-+5 degrees. Then, a steering dampner to complete the wolf in sheeps' clothing (maybe some bandit 600 stickers). Maybe re-valve fork if the budget allows.

Still getting 51-54 mpg, if I milk it (o.k. I have no self control....that will NEVER happen again!) Basic, running around town (several adolescent fits <yosh pipe sounds so good on the gas at 4000-7000k rpm) I get 43-45 mpg. A night running with the sportbiker crowd puts me around 35mpg at worst. All on, 87 octane, 10% ethanol garbage gas...no detonation

So Much Fun
